Our Curriculum

We follow the seasons as well as seasonal and cultural celebrations, immersing children in nature’s magic and humanity’s cultural vibrance through a variety of activities, projects and experiences.

Structure. Confidence. Flexibility.

Children gain confidence from knowing what to expect. Routines provide safety, familiarity and a sense of mastery, allowing children to feel empowered as they take the lead. While we follow a consistent routine, we also recognize the importance of flexibility for both children and teachers. Within our structured environment, there is ample room for fluidity, change, and improvisation, teaching everyone how to adapt when plans shift.

Our Curriculum

We immerse children in nature’s magic as the seasons change. Decorating leaves in the Fall. Gardening in the Spring. Cooking soup in the Winter. Your child will be excited to share what they did and ready for more projects and crafts to come.

We emphasize joyful discipline, where children learn responsibility, independence, and confidence. Our play-based approach encourages meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity and self-expression, process over product. We foster conversation, comfort and ease around differences, encouraging children to notice and embrace different perspectives and qualities. Compassion and loving kindness are also core to our values, as we nurture deep connections with the children, between the children, and to all beings, emphasizing respect and a caring environment.

Mission

We engage in activities that serve, guide and support families in their children’s first preschool experiences. We encourage children’s growth and development through deep connection and play. We guide families as they navigate the process of separation and the journey of parenting, creating a community of trust and openness, curiosity and learning.  We support individuals in developing trust with teachers, identifying and accepting the full range of children’s emotions, guiding and fostering social interactions between mixed age groups, understanding and connecting with each child as a unique individual, and respecting each child’s own pace and style of learning and experiencing the world.
